Gordano Ltd. Announces release of Gordano Messaging Suite version 17

Gordano Ltd., an international developer of comprehensive enterprise-class messaging products delivering scalability and reliability, recently announced the availability of version 17 of the Gordano Messaging Suite  (GMS). v17 brings Document Management capabilities to users, providing storage, sharing and editing of documents within the Webmail interface.

“Our latest release of GMS provides a convenient way for our users to not only manage their documents within Webmail, but also maintain control over access,” says John Stanners, Managing Director, Gordano.

“Document Management will help to increase productivity and efficiency to improve our users’ daily workflow, while also giving them peace of mind that the documents are stored securely.”

GMS 17 introduces an enhanced user experience and increases the capabilities of the Web client with the addition of Document Management. This feature allows users to store, edit and share documents within the Webmail interface – providing a simple way to access documents from a remote computer. Features include:

• Group creation, allowing specified users to access and collaborate on the group’s stored documents

• Customized permissions, restricting or providing access to documents for specific individuals and their ability to see read-only or editable documents

• Email notification when revisions have been made to a document

• Controlled document storage capacity so admin is in control of how many documents are stored within a group or organization

• Folder management, enabling users to define file types (.pdf, .doc, etc.) within a specific folder
